This Privacy Policy explains how MOVE IN SILENCE LTD, trading as “Wale Adeyemi” (“we”, “us”, “our”), collects, uses and shares your personal information when you visit waleadeyemi.com, make a purchase, or otherwise communicate with us.
For the purposes of UK data protection law (the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018), we are the data controller of your personal information. 1. INFORMATION WE COLLECT
Information you give us:
• Contact details: name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number
• Account information: username, password, preferences
• Order information: items purchased, returned or exchanged, payment confirmation (we do not store full payment card numbers - see Section 5)
• Communications: anything you include when contacting customer service, entering a competition or leaving a review
Information collected automatically:
• Device and usage information: IP address, browser type, operating system, pages viewed, how you arrived at our site and how you interact with it, collected through cookies and similar technologies (see Section 6)

You can unsubscribe from marketing emails at any time using the link in any email or by contacting us. Opting out of marketing does not affect service emails about your orders.
3. HOW WE SHARE YOUR INFORMATION
We share personal information with:
• Shopify Inc., which hosts our store and processes data on our behalf. Shopify’s own privacy practices are described in the Shopify Consumer Privacy Policy.
• Payment processors (e.g. Shopify Payments, PayPal, Klarna - as offered at checkout), which handle your payment details under their own privacy policies.
• Delivery partners (e.g. Royal Mail, DHL) - name, address and contact details needed to deliver your order.
• Marketing and advertising partners - e.g. Meta (Facebook/Instagram advertising) and our email marketing platform - as described in Section 6.
• Professional advisers and authorities where required by law, to enforce our terms, or to protect our rights.
• A buyer or successor in the event our business is sold or merged, in which case your information may be transferred to the new owners.
We do not sell your personal information.
4. INTERNATIONAL TRANSFERS
Some of our service providers (including Shopify and Meta) are located outside the UK. Where we transfer your personal information out of the UK, we rely on recognised safeguards: an adequacy decision by the UK Government, or approved contractual mechanisms such as the UK International Data Transfer Agreement or Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
5. PAYMENT SECURITY
If you choose a direct payment gateway to complete your purchase, your card data is encrypted in line with the Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI-DSS) and is stored only as long as necessary to complete the transaction. All payment gateways we use adhere to PCI-DSS standards. We never see or store your full card number.
6. COOKIES AND TRACKING TECHNOLOGIES
We use cookies and similar technologies on our site. Non-essential cookies are only set with your consent, which you can give or withdraw at any time via the cookie banner / cookie preferences link on our site.
Essential cookies (no consent required — the site can’t function without them):

7. HOW LONG WE KEEP YOUR INFORMATION
We keep personal information only as long as we need it: order and transaction records for 6 years (to meet tax and accounting obligations); marketing data until you unsubscribe or after a prolonged period of inactivity; account data while your account remains active. We then delete or anonymise it.
8. YOUR RIGHTS
Under UK data protection law you have the right to:
• Access: request a copy of the personal information we hold about you
• Rectification: ask us to correct inaccurate information
• Erasure: ask us to delete your information in certain circumstances
• Restriction: ask us to limit how we use your information in certain circumstances
• Portability: receive your information in a machine-readable format and have it transferred to another provider
• Objection: object to processing based on legitimate interests, and to direct marketing at any time
• Withdraw consent: where we rely on consent, withdraw it at any time without affecting the lawfulness of processing before withdrawal

9. COMPLAINTS
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your personal information, please contact us first so we can try to resolve it. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK’s supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO): ico.org.uk or 0303 123 1113.
10. CHILDREN
Our site is not intended for children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. CHANGES TO THIS POLICY
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our practices or for legal, operational or regulatory reasons. We will post the revised policy here and update the “Last updated” date, and where changes are material we will notify you as required by law.
