We spent the day with Musician & DJ Mia Lily; pulling her favourite pieces from the archive,
chatting over a fry up & a brew and ending up with her seated at a grand piano at Rocket Van Studio in South East London. Mia started learning to play piano in her youth, listened and learned from her jazz musician dad and has been exposed to varying sonics throughout her life.
“I want to go back to my roots, in a way back to basics, I find it cathartic to sit in front of a piano, to improvise and just play…”
This culminated in the release of her debut EP “‘Hydrated But Drunk’ on ‘Shall Not Fade' in
October 2025 & since then Mia Lily has also continued to throw down DJ sets at venues up and down the country, filled with bass, dub, techno & UKG.
